Our group takes immense pleasure in announcing the formal employment of Mr. Gopal Padki ex-CEO Foseco China as our Group Vice President effective from 1st January 2008. In this position he will be reporting to the group Chairman Mr.Tang Yi Lin.
Mr. Padki will be responsible for global business development, design and implementation of the group strategies for international operational, selling, distribution and marketing activities. Lead strategic initiatives for overall group business gain and growth inclusive of overseas plant and supply chain network. The responsibilities include leadership for technology centre for product development, and application service for brand & corporate image in China domestic market that is essential to complement and support global expansion and growth objectives.
Mr. Padki a graduate from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay with Masters in Metallurgy and Foundry Technology followed by a brief executive management course at INSEAD, and diploma in business management from Bombay university has more than twenty five years of working experience in metal casting and foundry consumables industry encompassing successful career in continuous casting of copper alloy strips and coated steel tubes in addition to a long and dedicated management position with Foseco in India, Taiwan and a pioneering fourteen years of Foseco business and organization development in China.
In the Chinese foundry industry Mr.Padki holds several official positions within Foundry Society of China, import and export working committee, and China Foundry Association .As a senior member of the Chinese mechanical engineering society of China Mr.Padki has participated in the initial WTO round table talks related to challenges and opportunities in the Chinese foundry industry. Has published several technology and marketing articles both within China and overseas magazines and currently he continues to represent Chinese foundry industry through Metal Casting Technologies, Australian based magazine.
