Foundry Material Industry  
          Foundry materials has been the leading product line for the company since its inception. For many years, we combined the requirements of foundry industry with high-tech chemical technology to manufacture a variety of foundry binders, coatings, and filters, which greatly promote the foundry technology level and competitive power in world market. Shengquan has gradually become one of the biggest foundry material suppliers in the world.

    We have been manufacturing foundry materials since the middle of 1980. Late 1986, with the help of scientific institutes in Beijing and Qingdao, president Tang Yilin hosted the furan resin consortium.  As a result we successfully developed our 86-A furan resin, which is the top ranking furan resin in China and most advanced in the world. The technology fulfilled the technique deletion of China and won the only gold prize of the seventh national “Five-Year Star and Torch Plan” achievements exhibition. The company invested 65million Yuan and immediately built a 10,000MT production capacity plant for furan resin. Shengquan is involved in the full product chain: furfural > furfuryl alcohol > furan resin. Following twenty years of hard work and continuous development, we have developed more than ten different series of foundry materials and a 120 products. Our technology holds the leading position in the world and 1/3 of the market share of China. Our products are sold to more than fifty countries and regions, such as Europe and Southeast Asia. Our total Global sales of furan resin is almost 100,000 MT, making us the leading supplier in the world.

    Shengquan began the research and development of foam ceramic filters in 1997. Following nine years intense work and development, three kinds of products were developed: FCF-1(foundry steel), FCF-2(foundry iron) and FCF-3(foundry Aluminum). In September 2001, the previously listed three products were recognized at the national “Star and Torch Plan” significant and new technology products by the China Scientific Department. This resulted in the complete acceptance of the product. In order to promote the competitive power of the product in the world market and promote the company’s globalization, the company introduced the products and technology to Korea, Germany, Taiwan and other developed countries and regions in 2001, 2003 and 2005. We employed an expert from Germany for the annual fee of several million Yuan to develop the technology. Towards the end of 2006, the Ceramic Foam Filter technology finally received an important breakthrough. Shengquan received the leading position in the world market and had been listed in the “Shandong Important Technological Innovations Registry”. In December 2007, Shengquan achieved a production output capacity of Ceramic Foam Filters of 10,000 Stère (cubic meters) per year which is the world largest. At present, production is dedicated to half of Chinas market share. Ceramic Foam Filters have been exported to more than thirty countries and regions.

Additionally, in order to satisfy the requirements of the market and adapt to the developmental policies of the nation, we developed, internally, new advanced world technology for insulating sleeves. Our investment in Insulation Sleeve technology resulted in the production of over twenty million sets in 2007. In the same year, we also introduced German technology to produce the pressed ‘honeycomb’ filter. Presently the foundry ceramic filters have been the most important new economic growth factor of the company.
